What is the deposit for asynchronous/DM25 auctions and when is it paid?
The deposit is the amount to be paid to be able to place bid in an auction, and it has the following characteristics:
- It does not constitute an advance payment towards the winning bid price;
- It is a necessary to submit the first bid, and gives it a binding value;
- It is held temporarily and then refunded; however, it will not be refunded is case of default;
- For DM25 auctions, a deposit is required for each lot in the auction, for example if you are participating in an auction for 10 lots, you will need to pay 10 deposits each equal to the specified amount.
Once the deposit is paid and you are enabled, during the auction, you will see a field to enter the code that grants access to the auction room.
We reccomended not waiting until the last minute to pay the deposit to allow time to seek assistance from our team in case of technical issues.
7 days before the start of the auction you will have the option to pay by credit card, however if you want to pay via bank transfer remember to do so at least 5 days before offer collection deadline.
